FAQ

Retirement questions, answered

Everything you need to know before opening your retirement account.

Traditional IRA contributions are pre-tax (deductible now, taxed at withdrawal). Roth IRA contributions are after-tax (no deduction now, tax-free withdrawals). Rule of thumb: pick Roth if you expect a higher tax bracket in retirement (younger savers, early career), Traditional if you expect a lower bracket (peak earning years). You can have both and split contributions.

Retirement investing risk disclosure: All investments involve risk including possible loss of principal. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Tax-advantaged accounts are subject to IRS rules; early withdrawals may trigger penalties and taxes. Projected balances are hypothetical and do not represent actual returns. Market Securities is a member SIPC; securities in your account are protected up to $500,000. Digital asset custody insured by Lloyd's of London up to $250M. Consult a tax advisor for guidance specific to your situation.
